Did you know SMEG stands for Smalterie Metallurgiche Emiliane Guastalla? Me neither. Of that, “Guastalla” is the name of the town in Italy where the company got its start. “Emiliane” refers to the province and the rest translates to “Metallurgical Enamelling Works.”
The company was founded in 1948 and now combines retro vintage aesthetics across their appliance line and is available to peruse in the SMEG Virtual Showroom. You can click around and zoom in on appliances in a decidedly modern way.

These Halloween Cookie Cutters are Boo-tiful! You’re sure to scare up some delicious delights for young and old with this 9-piece set. You get a few ghosts, a witch hat, a skull, a bat, a cat, a jack-o’-lantern and a coffin.
Made of stainless steel the cookie cutters have a rolled edge on one side to protect your fingers as you press down the smooth side into cookie dough. But why stop there? The metal cutters allow you to shape fruits and vegetables into scary shapes as well. While the kids are arguing over their trick-or-treating candy loot, you can be kicking back with a nice wine and some spooky shaped cheese. Maybe a nice Scare-donay with some Boo-uda or perhaps a Monsterella and Croakers snack tray. Naturally, some Scream Cheese on a Bagel at the Moon would go great.

Either way you look at it, this Funyuns x Maruchan collaboration looks delicious. But you might want to search around locally before clicking on that link. Apparently, Amazon thinks they warrant a $15 price tag for a six ounce bag!

What do you do when you order a million-zillion flip-flop ashtrays only to realize later that people smoke less cigarettes nowadays? You repurpose those ashtrays into French fry serving trays of course!
Ketchup goes into the toes and the fries collect nicely where the foot would go. Slide out a fry, dip it in a toe and it you have yourself a classic snack in classic flip flop form. Just be sure to clean out the ashtray before serving.
