Finally, a chance for Bread People to lead a normal life

Swissmar Bamboo Crumb Catching Board w/Bread Knife

It goes without saying that Bread People eat a lot of bread. Which also goes to say, they have a lot of crumbs in their homes. As all this bread-eating usually outpaces bread-cleaning, all those crumbs pile up. Just like you don’t clean the crumb tray out of your toaster after every use, Bread People don’t clean away the crumbs after slicing into a loaf; it’s just going to get all crumby again at the next meal. I know all this, because I am a Bread Person.

Keep your cheese (and friends) in line

Prodyne Butcher Block End Grain Board w/4 Cheese Knives

Putting out a cheese plate at a party is a sure-fire way to create a mess. Party-goers attack the hors d’oeuvres all willy-nilly, spreading cheese bits all over the place. As much fun as it is to entertain for your friends, it is no fun cleaning up after them. So, either get a bunch of new, cleaner friends or give them less of a reason to make a mess.

The Prodyne Butcher Block End Grain Board w/4 Cheese Knives is a cheese palette designed to keep cheese-related messes to a minimum. Encouraging guests to keep the cheese on the board, a stainless-steel cutting wire is integrated at one end. As for knives: don’t give guests an excuse to try to make room for a knife somewhere on the table—it will just end up on the floor. The magnetic fence at the back of the board should do nicely for keeping them (the knives) in place. Truly this cheese board is a better option than serving those processed cheese singles you may have been thinking about.

Cutting board takes over the kitchen sink

Oxo Good Grips Over-The-Sink Cutting Board

Small kitchens can be difficult to work in, but that doesn’t have to hold you back. Even if you have absolutely no counter space, solutions exist to get you through the prep work. Kitchen islands and workstations come in many shapes and sizes, practically guaranteeing that you will find something to expand your space. However, even if every available square inch is occupied, there is still room over the kitchen sink.

The Oxo Good Grips Over-The-Sink Cutting Board creates a workspace where before there was none. The cutting board slides over the sink with expanding rails that stretch out up to 9-inches. A stainless steel basket attaches to the arms, and serves as an easy transportation device to the cooking pot. Complete with non-slip edges, the cutting board holds firm as you chop, slice and dice, making certain the cooks everywhere get the most out of their kitchens.

The link above no longer works, but here is a similar model that one-ups the Oxo by including a strainer. Maybe a bit smaller, but reviewers seem to like it.
