There may be a game on the field, but we’re all winners with a spread full of snacks on the table. Especially when there’s a big gaping hole right at the 50-yard line just waiting for the platter of burgers. And more dip! And nachos! And stuffed mushrooms. And little quiches! And sorry. Cut from a single piece of mirrored stainless steel, the utensil acts both as a knife and as a spatula. Sliding the implement through cake, and then squeezing it shut accomplishes service in one easy motion. Seeing it in action is a bit like imagining what it would be like to simply reach out and grab at a slice of cake—except this way you won’t ruin the cake for everybody else.
Sitting down to dinner can be a trying experience. No, I’m not talking about trying to feed the dog Aunt Bertha’s meatloaf on the sly, but rather trying to keep tableside arguments to a minimum. As they say, it’s best to avoid religion and politics while at the dinner table, but that doesn’t stop other arguments from breaking out. Like passing the damn gravy before it gets cold.
