Edible (Candy) Eyeballs

Wilton Candy Eyeballs

Yes, technically all eyeballs are edible (or so they say). But these Wilton Candy Eyeballs are certainly much sweeter. Sold in a pack 56, the sugar eyes are meant for decorating cakes, cookies and other sweet treats. So they probably won’t mind being plucked out (of frosting).

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups Go Mini At CES

In one of the most unexpected launches at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the Reese’s® brand, makers of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, today, unveiled the latest mini-innovation in candy snacks – Reese’s Minis. Billed as the “Next Big, Little Thing™,” Reese’s Minis are making history as the smallest Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups ever, and the first snacking candy to be introduced at CES. In fact, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups is The Official Candy of the Consumer Electronics Show.

It might not be the biggest news out of CES 2011, but it could be the littlest. Well, the most edible at least. Taking advantage of the electronics show to announce a new miniature product may be commonplace, but The Hershey Company usually isn’t involved. However, when the announcement is regarding Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, they get the benefit of the doubt.

What To Do With All That (Lame) Halloween Candy

Nostalgia Electrics PCM-805 Hard Candy/Sugar Free Cotton Candy Maker

Near the bottom of the Halloween candy hierarchy is hard candy. Trick or treating is about going door to door, freeloading off of our neighbors and rating how cool they are by what candy they dole out. Chocolate bars? A-ok. Hard candy? Lame. Just a step up from granola snacks or rice crackers.

Never Run Out Of Gummy Worms Again

The World's Largest Gummy Worm

Every kitchen has items that need to constantly be in stock: milk, eggs, flour, gummy. Without these essentials no kitchen is complete. It’s always best to stock up on these must-haves, but when it comes to gummy creatures, they come in packages that are woefully small. Thankfully, The World’s Largest Gummy Worm is here to rescue culinarians everywhere.

The stats:
• 128x as massive as a boring, ordinary gummy worm
• 26 inches long, or roughly one-tenth the size of the small intestine. (hint: buy more!)
• 3 pounds of gummy worm goodness
• 4,000 calories (compare, here)
• surprisingly affordable at only 28 bucks!

And of course, made in the good ol’ USA!

Are Those Your Nacho Mints?

Cheesy Nacho Mints

What do you call a mint that is not your own? Nacho mint! Har har. Ah, I’ll be here all week. As will my breath. But seriously folks, Nacho Mints. Cheesy Nacho Mints. That you buy and ingest. You do, that is. Because I’m gonna stick to the real thing. (And by real, I mean that processed, goopy stuff.)

Carnival in your kitchen… and on your sofa… and in the carpet… and on the drapes…

Nostalgia Electrics Retro Series 50's Style Cotton Candy Machine

The carnival has packed up and is heading off into the sunset. The sounds of the midway are faint in the air. A slight breeze carries the scent of fried foods and roller coaster grease. You take a step forward, hoping to capture one last taste of the county fair and all that it has to offer. Instead, you find a sticky paper cone attached to the bottom of your sole; a piece of pink-stained detritus left over from the summer carnival.

Lucky for you, you can take that crumpled tube of paper and breath new life into it with your very own cotton candy machine. The Nostalgia Electrics Retro Series 50’s Style Cotton Candy Machine is a countertop appliance set to spin all year long. Just add sugar mixture and use the included reusable plastic cones to catch the freshly flossed cotton candy as it spins out of the machine. Now, that sticky and goopy mess that you thought you left out in the fairgrounds can finally be made at home. Lucky you.
