Coffee Coffee Coffee Starts With C

Vandor 5-1/2 by 4 by 4-1/2-Inch Sesame Street Cookie Monster 18-Ounce Ceramic Mug, Multicolored

Cookie Monster has always known what’s up with the letter ‘C’. Smart cookie, that Cookie. Not only does his favorite treat start with ‘C’, so does his lesser-known other favorite treat: coffee! (It’s pretty obvious if you notice what a spazz he is.) Being the obsessive type, there is no other mug everybody’s favorite monster would choose other than one picturing himself. The Sesame Street Cookie Monster 18-Ounce Ceramic Mug is his only drinking vessel of choice. For either milk or coffee. Got cookie? Om nom nom nom…

Also available for his pals, Oscar the Grouch and Elmo.

The internet loves to bacon (is it a verb yet?) and Instructables users are in on the meme. The DIY-encouraging website is sponsoring a contest where winners can take home an iPad 2 or a bacon-making All-Clad skillet. Just post your fave use of bacon and you are entered in The Bacon Challenge. As you can see from the entry pictured above (from kaptaink_cg), anything goes. Be sure to check out all of the bacon entries.

The Bacon Challenge is simple: make something amazing that involves bacon. We know, bacon is already pretty amazing on its own – therein lies the challenge! Dress it up, build with it, get creative with your porcine bounty. The challenge is to make something both original and bacon-related. If it’s about bacon, it’s eligible.

Would You Ventu?

The Ventu Strainer Bowl, a Quirky project.

It doesn’t exist yet, but it could with your help. The Ventu Strainer Bowl, a Quirky project is a mash-up between a colander and a serving bowl. For whatever reason, colanders have always enjoyed a reputation as something to avoid in the kitchen–it is just too tempting to try to strain pasta and whatnot with either the lid or a fork. Capitalizing (maybe) on this idea is a project that needs your support.

If 1800 people commit to purchasing one, it will exist. While it looks like it would be an elegant solution to a common kitchen shortcut, it appears that it may have some limitations, mainly the concept of it being a wet serving device one would bring to the table. Get around that though with something to rest it in and you got yourself something there. In any event it’s a good idea that only needs a little help.

***Spoiler Alert. It doesn’t exist. The idea however is not down the drain. Check out this 4-1 Colander meets bowl meets strainer meets… slicer?
