Shake Up The Fridge With Magnetic Spice Jars

Good Cooking Magnetic Spice Jars

There is a large metal box in your kitchen that (hopefully) doesn’t get hot or wet. As it so happens, this large food storage container also allows for storage on the outside. Yup, it’s the fridge we’re talking about here and magnetic spice jars to decorate its surface.

The Good Cooking Magnetic Spice Jars are an affordable spice storage solution. The little dispensers are mostly made of metal, so they do stick to each other as well as to the side of the fridge. Each one has a see-through lid and openings for pouring or shaking. When it comes time to use, just pluck one off of the refrigerator door and shake — assuming that one hasn’t been playing Tetris on the fridge and the one you want to use is buried at the bottom of a shape avalanche.

Celery Inside Celery For Celery Infinity

Hutzler Snack Attack Celery and Dip to Go Serve Set

You are what you eat. So of course, it’s important to know what you put into your body. One way to do that is to look at the package. The list of ingredients are a telling sign of what’s to come. But what of food that has no ingredient list? Shouldn’t our one-ingredient meals get the same treatment?

The Hutzler Snack Attack Celery and Dip to Go Serve Set says yes. It might look more like a mysterious green bullet than a heart of celery, but once you know, you know what’s inside. Not only does the amusing celery container transport celery to and fro, but the design also includes a self-contained dip container.

They say it takes more calories to consume celery than it gives back resulting in so-called negative calories. Of course, that doesn’t include whatever mysterious fatty dip that the dip container has in store. But hey, designing a dip container in the “shape” of dip is probably kind of hard to do.

And here’s something that’s fun to say: Also available in Carrot.

I Am A To Go Cup

I Am A To Go Cup from DCI.

I am not sure what I like best about this I Am A To Go Cup design. First off, there is the name. No mistaking what this thing is. Then there is the little liquid container that screws into the cap. Clever. One can keep wet ingredients away from dry. Then, to top it all off, it comes with its own fork – and the kicker is that the cap acts as a utensil rest to boot. Nice design all around. Perfect companion for that paper cup that isn’t — just keep it straight which one is which.

Hey Ziploc, Men Eat Leftovers Too

Ziploc VersaGlass Container, Variety Pack, 3-Count

There’s a great Simpsons quote in the episode where Milhouse’s dad is getting fired from the cracker factory for being divorced.

“Kirk, crackers are a family food. Happy families. Maybe single people eat crackers…we don’t know. Frankly, we don’t want to know. It’s a market we can do without.”

That’s how it is in marketing too. Marketing is family food. A current Sea-Doo commercial for some reason explicitly shows a shot of a wedding band securely wrapped around a man’s finger as he navigates his water vehicle to the dock. Now Viagra ads and such make at least some sort of sense (for such nonsense), but jet skis? Ah well, that’s how it is. Moms are also the only one’s in the kitchen too…

Read on for today’s press release regarding the Ziploc VersaGlass Container:

Shake It Up, Don’t Clean It Up

Heritage Mint Lock & Lock Small Sauce

Making a homemade salad dressing is easy enough: just select some ingredients and shake it up. Except it is not so easy when all that oil and vinegar splashes to the floor due to improperly sealed containers. As much as cutting corners is a time-honored kitchen tradition, sometimes it just doesn’t make sense—especially when there are alternatives available.

The Heritage Mint Lock & Lock Small Sauce is a 17-ounce container designed for easy (and safe) salad and sauce making. Featuring a 4-hinge locking lid system that effectively prevents accidental spills, the dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe container makes it easy to whip up homemade salad dressings—even for the most enthusiastic of shakers.

Take out you keep

New East Take Out Serving Container by Boston Warehouse

While clamshell take-out containers may be all the rage, every once in a while you come across a place that sends you packing with an iconic little box. The New East Take Out Serving Container by Boston Warehouse won’t come filled with leftover Mongolian Beef or Kung Pao Chicken, but it will hold 34-ounces of whatever you decide. Suggestion: Shrimp Fried Rice from Tu Lan. Julia Child liked it, so should you.
