Wine-Trax Keeps Track Of Your Wine Drinking

Wine-Trax, the measuring wine glass, set of 2

Discreetly etched with markings delineating the 4-ounce, 6-ounce and 8-ounce levels, Wine-Trax, the measuring wine glass, would certainly help some keep track of how much wine they (or their significant others) were drinking. For the rest of us, all we need to know is that when filled to the to the top one glass will hold 11-ounces. And then, we don’t really need to know that either, now do we? Salud!

Drinking Roulette Set Makes Nobody A Winner

Drinking Roulette Set

This 16 Shot Roulette Drinking Game makes nobody a winner. And no, not because letting a little metal ball dictate you’re level of drunkenness isn’t classy, but simply because there aren’t enough shot glasses! Clearly, to get the job done right, you need to pick up an extra set and double down.

Martini Glass Topples, Probably Still Falls Down

Starfrit Gourmet 7-Ounce Double Wall Martini Glass

It’s not too much to ask for a martini glass that doesn’t want to topple over. However when it comes to barware, long stemmed martini glasses are an accident waiting to happen. (Remember, these things are meant to be filled with booze!) Overcoming tradition is not always an easy thing, but if it means less spilled booze, then perhaps it’s not a bad idea to consider a new design. The Starfrit Gourmet 7-Ounce Double Wall Martini Glass provides a stable drinking experience (ahem) by replacing the long stem with a sturdy double-walled trunk. It, of course, won’t eliminate martini-related spillages, but at least it won’t want to topple over when an olive is added to the side.

A Toast (and a Shot) to Atari

Atari Arcade Pint Glass 4 Pack

Inspired by a recent Nerd Approved post, I felt it necessary to coordinate my drinkware with retro video game art. Most important when updating a drinkware collection is the necessity to acquire glasses for any occasion, from a black tie affair, for which this Atari Black Pint Glass 4 Pack would be appropriate, to everyday use such as the pint glasses in the Atari Arcade Pint Glass 4 Pack would provide. Of course, no evening would be complete without the Atari Shot Glass 6 Pack.

And it should go without saying, coffee in the morning is necessary to wash the shame away. Only one coffee cup in the world would suffice: Atari “You Never Forget Your First” Coffee Mug.

What better way to celebrate Atari than by putting them in a gallery…

Magic eye for the mouth

Cipher Drinking Glass, designed by Damjan Stanković.

Most concept designs never see the light of day. Of course, there is the rare success story (I’m looking at you Tauntaun sleeping bag), but concepts, when combined (usually) with students and 3D rendering software, generally produce nonsensical ideas — or at least products that have unrealistic manufacturing expectations.
