It might not be the biggest news out of CES 2011, but it could be the littlest. Well, the most edible at least. Taking advantage of the electronics show to announce a new miniature product may be commonplace, but The Hershey Company usually isn’t involved. However, when the announcement is regarding Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, they get the benefit of the doubt.
Billed as the “Next Big, Little Thingâ€, Reese’s Minis are tiny versions of the popular peanut butter and chocolate treat. Available in two sizes, the candy snack comes unwrapped, making them easy to eat.
“And they solve an important issue for techies, too – their size and unwrapped state makes them ergonomically perfect for one-handed internet surfing or tapping out a text message.â€
Sure, why not? It’s Friday!
Oh, and to justify the timing, here’s a photo to put it all in perspective.
Intel And Hershey’s Press Release:
MINI IS THE NEXT BIG THING AT CES. Intel Corporation and Reese’s(R) Peanut Butter Cups launch exciting new “mini” innovations at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The new 2nd Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) processor, which is packed with 1 billion transistors and delivers entirely new visual experiences for laptop PC users, is compared here to a dime and the new Reese’s Minis, the smallest, unwrapped version of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
