Here comes the heat, what’s going to beat it? Norpro Silicone Ice Pop Makers or Zipzicles, The ONLY Zip-Top Ice-Pop Mold?
Fight!
(Delicious fight)
Above, the Norpro 431 4-Piece Silicone Ice Pop Maker Set costs about 10 bucks and comes in a set of four. Clearly reusable, the silicone molds come with little caps to seal in juice, yogurt or whatever (“juices, purees, yogurt, soda, ice cream, pudding, applesauce, gelatin, fruit, berries, candies, chocolate, carmel, whipped cream and sprinkles”) as it freezes. Fill, seal, freeze and enjoy as they say.
Which also could be said to apply to Zipzicles – The ONLY Zip-Top Ice-Pop Mold! Here, the little baggies come in a set of twelve and costs about $2.99 for the set. Basically slender Ziploc bags, the ice pop molds will make delicious freezer treats just like the silicone molds, but clearly do not share their longevity. That one-piece construction will come in handy though.
They both let users create their own homemade delicious freezer treats. The Norpro silicone molds can be used time and time again — at least until that cap gets lost. The Zipzicles are not made to last, but they can be used on the go without worry about lugging back a sticky mess from the park or beach.
So, who wins? You do, of course. And the kids who get to eat these things. Get the Zipzicle set for on the go and the Norpro molds for everyday home use.
